Announcements for 2023
The appointment of Vincent Colangelo Sr. to the BOD at the IIAOKA & KOBUDO is another sign of his loyalty and dedication to preserving and protecting the legacy of our Founder, all first generation students and their grand black belts. He also serves as Vice President of Ed McGrath's School of Isshinryu Karatedo and Kobudo. He is the inheritor of the John D. Remick, Sr. School of Isshinryu Karatedo and Kobudo in Maryland.
Mr. Colangelo is currently ranked Hachi Dan 8th. Degree Black Belt, Kyoshi Go.

Dojo hours are from 5 AM to 11 PM everyday.
Dojo workout circuit for 2016 will be announced by Master K in January, we will have much of the same locations we will add a few and get the circuit list out to all members for registration. Please register early and arrive early to all workout's.

We plan to have so many quality instructors come in and share their knowledge will all who attend, Kata & Kumite will be the highlight of course, however, Kobudo lessons and practice seminars will be arranged based on the response from the students during the year.

Ed McGrath's School of Isshinryu Karatedo & Kobudo is working with the dojo's in North Carolina to offer workshops every weekend throughout the year 2016 offering many different high ranking black belts to visit the dojo's and review the entire Isshinryu curriculum.
This includes Kobudo from some of our most trusted instructors that go around from dojo to dojo offering personal instruction on all of our Kobudo kata's.

The Carolina Isshinryu Academy headed up by Hanshi Mitch Kobylanski has a traveling team of black belts that attend these workshops on a regular basis. The students are exposed to means and methods by sensei's from all over the East Coast. Some as far west as California. We look forward to seeing you at these various locations throughout the 2015 year. Our goal is to provide you with new and exciting waza. If you have any special questions about the Isshinryu waza the instructors will answer your questions and let you walk away with a complete inderstanding about your question.
