Ground Fighting
Fighting and free sparring is very dangerous and must be held to the highest safety standards possible. However, to make it real and effective we practice without pads or protective gear.

Kyu ranks are required to learn all 8 kata's before they can be tested for Sho-Dan.

Isshinryu Kobudo consists of 3 different weapons kata's, Bo, Sai & Tonfa.
This curriculum is also required for Kyu ranks to learn and once promoted to Sho Dan they are required to become proficient at all Kobudo Kata's.

Hand to Hand combat is the part of the curriculum where you learn how to control your attacker. Joint locks, take downs and submissions.
